The other day I raved about some of my favorite scores from the one of a kind sale, the #NSale. Not only does it include clothing, footwear, and handbags & accessories, it includes beauty! Fragrances, skincare, candles, hair products, makeup, you name it, it is there! Now I am a picky beauty product chooser but I did find three things I couldn’t leave without for the sale and two others not on sale. Had I spent less on the clothes and whatnot, I probably would have grabbed a few more higher priced items but I didn’t really need them so I’m not too bummed out.
MAC Cosmetics: Look In a Box
I have seen these bad boys before (Christmas time in the States always has one or two similar things as gifts) and the MAC artist convinced me to try one of the lip kits on and oh boy did I get hooked! The perfect nude matte liquid lipstick, lipliner, and lip primer for only $43 CAD! The Nice & Spicy paired with a Sheertone Blush called Sincere (not in the sale) and you have an easy look in under 5 minutes. Now that’s the best part!
Clinique Chubby Sticks
I’ll be honest, I heard of the Clinique Chubby Sticks from one of my favorite bloggers. She raved about how awesome they are because they are sheer color and perfect for everyday! I tried these guys out and isn’t she right?! There are six in the set for about $34 CAD and they are a range of everyday nudes (can you tell I love nude lippies? LOL). I swatched them on my arm first to see colors and see how easily they come off the skin and how the skin is left when they are removed. I have fragile and sensitive skin so I tend to do this with all my lippies before applying them for the first time. Easy on, easy off and my skin was clean and soft after removal! The color names are so cute and unique and even a bit yummy! If only the lippies tasted like the names! And if they do, I didn’t notice when I tried mine on. From left to right, Curviest Caramel, Woppin’ Watermelon, Mighty Mimosa, Broadest Berry, Super Strawberry, and Chunky Cherry. YUM! Perfect all year round colors are even better.
ME Glow Beauty Boosting Eye Mask
This one has me a bit mystified. The Me Glow Mask Its supposed to reduce signs of aging, late nights, and stress. It’s also supposed to help reduce fine lines in four weeks and your eyes will “glow” in the morning. This is because of the fibers used in the mask like copper and other minerals that fight aging and all that jazz. I tried it for a few nights and I didn’t see much difference in the morning but I’ll keep using it and maybe I will see differences in a few weeks. It is super soft and comfy to wear all night long. Worst case scenario, you return it if it doesn’t work!
Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate
Wow, what a name… Kiehl’s Magic Serum to me. But don’t be fooled, this product really works. I may only be 22 but I’ve had dark under-eyes and dark circles for a while now. Even if I had a full well rested night of sleep, those pesky dark under-eyes are still there. Until this. I could already tell a difference in just one day. Yes, that’s right. ONE. DAY. I simply added it into my daily morning routine and every other day, at night as well. It was $53 CAD, not too bad considering other dark circle creams cost quite a bit of money as well. The second best part of this product, other than the results, is that this is all natural. Kiehl’s is known for having natural ingredients in all their products. I will definitely be checking out more of Kiehl’s products in the near future!
Sorry for this being out so late, I am still trying to get the hang of best times for me and you to get my post! If you have any suggestions or requests, please let me know in the comments! On Monday, I will be sharing some great summer work looks and a quick makeup look for those “Monday Blues.” Thanks for stopping by!
